Charcuterie, located at 128 N Broad St. in Griffith, is a fantastic place to go if you are looking for a new place to eat, and warning you are about to get hungry!
Charcuterie is a culinary specialty that refers to the creation of cooked, cured or smoked meats such as bacon, ham, sausage, terrines, rillettes, galantines and dry-cured sausage. Charcuterie has been considered a French culinary art since at least the 15th century. They offer the finest bacon, salami, Spanish chorizo, prosciutto, pancetta, sopressata, mortadella, capicollo, coppa, chevaps & deli cold cuts. Along with our meat offerings we have an assortment of artisan cheeses including both imported & domestic brie, chevre, feta, gouda, cheddar, bleu, mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheeses and more. They also have a produce section, basic groceries, craft beers, wines, and a large assortment of spices, rubs, marinades, pastas, and olive oils.
They have a Facebook review of 5/5 based on the opinion of 158 people, and if that doesn't convince you to stop in, just take a look at the comments on their Facebook page. I would describe the reviews as nothing less than stellar!
"I had a fantastic first experience at Charcuterie! Delicious cheese and meats, and phenomenal wine tasting. The greatest draw of the night was the staff at Charcuterie. Everyone from the owner to the chef makes you feel like a close friend - like you are welcome - and that makes the entire experience unique. This place is a hidden gem in NW Indiana," Susan Labovic said on Facebook reviews.
On Google reviews they have a 4.8/5 star review and another abundance of stellar reviews.
"Absolutely the very best Italian beef sandwich I have ever had! The service was awesome. Very attentive and knowledgeable of every single product they have. I went here for lunch today with my wife. Great seating arrangement. We sat at the bar and had a beer with our lunch. The shop was clean and bright. Such a great vibe. Everyone was just happy to be there, including us. We will definitely make this a regular stop. Bonus, they cater too." Christopher KinKade said on Google reviews.
